Gasicare is a shelter for children with disabilities and is part of the Heroes Community Academy primary school. Children in Zanzibar with intellectual or physical disabilities usually do not attend school. They receive little or no support. The shelters that do exist are usually the initiative of stakeholders like Gasica, the director of both the shelter and Heroes Community Academy. Happy Scholar supports the shelter, along with as many donors as possible, so these children can also attend school and grow up as much as possible like other children. Currently, there is a small shelter far from the school, with hardly any learning materials or developmental materials available. Gasica would therefore like to accommodate the children in a larger space on the school grounds, so they can also integrate and play with the children at Heroes Community Academy.

In addition, there is a great need for learning materials and/or sponsorship for the students, as parents are unable to contribute financially.
